WasagaDome
WasagaDome WasagaDome, one of the largest geodesic event domes in the world, and the largest of its kind in Canada, and is located on the shores of Nottasawaga Bay at Wasaga Beach, the largest freshwater beach in the world.This summer 2008 WasagaDome featured Zero Gravity Circus’s new show “Ignite,” along with performances by Absolute Comedy, Toronto’s own Second City Touring Company.  Mumma Mia & Slippery When Wet –Bon Jovi Tribute Band. The dome at Wasaga Beach is, 27 meters in diameter, a six frequency geodesic structure, 593 square meters of floor space, 13.74 meters tall, 5,436 cubic meters of space (volume). The Wasaga Beach dome frame weighs 8,165 kilograms; the dome skin (cover) weighs 1,134 kilograms; the dome’s total combined weight is 9,299 kilograms. WasagaDome finished off the season this Labour Day weekend with a spectacular performance by Zero Gravity Circus. They will re-open next spring for a full season of performances sure to impress!
